About the event

WALKING TOUR - NEW PLYMOUTH

Lunch Venue - Fork n Knife

Known for their top quality dishes packed with flavour, husband and wife team Jeremy and Brittany Webling of Fork N Knife will provide an exquisite lunch coupled with wine or a non alcoholic beverage. This will include a plated dish and shared sides using some of Taranaki’s best local produce.

Escape Coffee

Escape Coffee was born in 2011. Since then their journey has been one of discovery of the art and science throughout the whole coffee chain including sourcing all kinds of coffee which feature  different processing methods, roast profiles and brew methods.  Tom bought into the business in 2019 and is continuing to evolve the coffee business in the most sustainable way possible including ensuring coffee is delivered as efficiently as possible and wrapped using only compostable or reusable packaging.

Escape also has special booths using  a Taranaki building product made from recycled material.  This is potentially set to show up in some of the biggest businesses across the country.  saveBOARD founded by New Plymouth man Paul Charteris, turns soft plastics such as bread bags, cat food packets, courier bags, and used beverage containers into a board that can be used as a sustainable alternative to conventional plasterboard, plywood or particle board.   While tasting a great Escape Coffee, Tom will also share with you his big plans for the future.

Juice Head

Visit New Plymouth's new cold-pressed juice establishment, Juice Head.  Created by the owners of popular coffee shop Bleached and clothing store Crystal Cylinder, Benny and team will provide a taste of their popular zesty and zingy juice flavours, sold out of a very small hole in the wall on New Plymouth's main street(!) and demonstrate the juicing process  - you'll be astounded at just how much fresh produce goes into one juice!

Three Sisters Brewery

Three Sisters Brewery has been brewing commercially since April 2017 after winning the first Taranaki SOBA Homebrew Competition in 2015 with “Rain in the Face”. In 2020, Joe and Sarah started a PledgeMe campaign and got to move their operation into the beautiful, old ‘Taranaki Savings Bank” building on the main street of New Plymouth .  Old TSB to the new TSB!  In 2021 Three Sisters Brewery received the New Zealand Brewers Guild “Champion Micro Brewery” award and have been winning awards for their beers ever since.  The team will explain their brewing process, give you a taste of their beer selection and will be keen to answer any quetsions you may have.
